"Lovely cottage, very well equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. The beds were extremely comfortable, views were stunning. Jonathan quickly resolved a couple of queries we had.” - June '19
"We loved Apple Cottage, from the moment we arrived to a wonderful welcome - lights on, heating on, flowers and such a thoughtful selection of local produce. Gorgeous toiletries too. Beautiful crispy, cotton bed linen. Staying here was just so easy. Lovely comfortable spotlessly clean cottage, bags of ambience, peaceful, quiet retreat. Access to Wimborne could not be more convenient - five minutes walk to restaurants, shops and Waitrose on the doorstep. Howling gales and horizontal rain outside - us warm and cosy inside. We had a wonderful peaceful relaxing holiday and we will definitely return.” - March '19
"A great place to stay to get to know Wimborne. Conveniently located and with wonderful views. Everybody was very helpful and friendly – nothing was too much trouble, even a private lesson in how to use Netflix!” - February '19
"We were an extended family of 6 adults and 4 children including a baby.We had a most marvellous Christmas staying for a week at Apple and Plum cottages. It began with a very warm welcome which made us feel very much at home. The cottages looked superb(wreaths on the doors and a Christmas tree in the sitting room)and spotlessly clean and so very warm(important for us as we had relatives from Australia). There was a very generous and exciting welcome pack awaiting us. The cottages were exceptionally well equipped so we had no problem cooking Christmas dinner ;everything we needed was there. After dinner we had they joy of sitting around the log burner. It was perfect! Thank you.” (Apple & Plum) - January '19
"A brilliant cottage with a lovely, secure garden, which our 7-month Irish Terrier, Eimear, adored. We were a little embarrassed when she chased Lady Hanham off the premises :-(. Eimear also enjoyed some of the windfalls, as did we - apples for pudding everyday. We have even purchased a copy of the very good apple cookery book in the cottage.
We were lucky to be able to give Eimear her first taste of the sea on the last day of 'summer' at Studland Bay with lots of other dogs and another taste, by way of contrast, at West Bay, where the colours of the cliffs, sand and dog merged together - the perfect camouflage.
A great discovery this time was the 'veg box' from the kitchen garden. We are committed Riverford customers but the selection at Deans Court was exceptional. Thank you to everyone!” - October '18
"This is our second visit to Apple & Plum Cottages so that in itself is a great review. A girls trip in the countryside with a pretty town with lively bars and restaurants just a short walk. Hosts were very friendly and each cottage is supplied with a food hamper .... produce from the Estate. We had great fun." - September '18
"An absolutely delightful and well equipped cottage - the perfect place from which to explore the beautiful Dorset countryside and being only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Wimborne eating out and shopping are easy. Will be booking again." - September '18
"We have come to love these beautiful cottages. Hidden in idilic surroundings yet just a couple of minutes walk to Wimborne Minster these cottages offer you peace and tranquility. Comfortable, clean and well equipped, a great place to escape. A special mention to the wonderful Deans Court team who are very welcoming and always on hand should you need anything." - August '18

"Had a super time at Apple Cottage, perfect place to relax in by the fire after a long coastal walk!" - February '18
"Had a wonderful few days in Apple Cottage at Deans Court. We loved the feeling of being away from it all yet so close to Wimborne Minster and all it had to offer. The cottage was a perfect place to stay and fish the River Allen. Much as we'd like to keep this gem to ourselves we can't recommend it highly enough." - November '17
"The cottage, location and communications were fantastic" - November '17
"A great spot, somehow secret and special and yet not far from exceptional amenities - the Minster of course, the wonderful gardens behind the Priest's House Museum, Minster Greens, Keatings the Butcher, Le Petit Prince, The Tickled Pig, Black Pug Books to name a few. The tranquil views from all the windows were wonderful too - across the orchard to the Minster, across The Leaze and out of the back door across the garden ...!" - October '17
"Very lovely place to stay, feels like your in the country but with the convenience of strolling into wimborne. The internal decoration and attention to detail makes for a very comfortable stay. We love staying here!" - September '17
"Another great stay at these lovely cottages, our third time there and very much feels like home from home. Very comfortable and well equipped and such an idyllic location yet a walk away from the town. We will be back." - March '19
"Plum Cottage is so idyllic and beautiful. Incredibly well equipped, cosy and comfortable. There was everything we could possibly have needed, and thoughtful little touches (like bread, eggs, homemade apple juice and cake on arrival) made us feel so at home. We were blown away with how perfect and lovely it was. A long weekend wasn't enough to enjoy the cottage and the beautiful towns and coast around, we'll just have to come back!" - November '18
"A beautiful cottage and a perfect base for exploring all Dorset has to offer. From arrival to departure the thoughtful touches helped make our holiday brilliant. The brownies were devine and the eggs and bread ensured we had a delicious meal on the first night. We will definately be back!" - November '18
"The perfect place for 3 generations and a dog! We loved the Shepherd's hut and I enjoyed an early morning cup of tea and a read of the paper in there while the kids were in the house! Tastefully decorated and well-equipped and handy being close to the town whilst also feeling like we were in the Dorset countryside. A lovely cottage." - August '18

"Shrieks of delight as we explored the wonderful Plum Cottage (and that was mainly from mum!!). What a fantastic place - homely yet with all the mod cons. The veg basket was a wonderful addition too - our meals were based round the lovely vegetables and fruit. We'll be back!" - August '17
"We booked Plum Cottage for a week in August to celebrate my partner's birthday and couldn't have been more delighted with our choice. It is located virtually in the centre of Wimborne, yet manages to feel like you're a world away, with stunning views of the Wimborne Minster and the surrounding fields. The cottage itself is just beautiful and decorated in a simple, tasteful way and the garden is amazing, particularly for energetic children (our sone particularly loved the shepherd's hut). It's a great base for exploring Dorset and we managed numerous trips to the coast, in addition to making to most of Wimborne itself. All in all, it was such a truly wonderful week at Plum Cottage, if I could buy it right now, I would." - August '17
"If I could have a second home Plum Cottage would be very close to be dream holiday cottage." - July '17

The Gate House
“The Gatehouse was absolutely perfect for our stay - plenty of room for everyone and very comfortable accommodation. The hot-tub and media room were very well used! Wimborne is a lovely town and a great base for exploring Dorset.” - May '19
“I couldn't recommend The Gate House more.
We had a wonderful stay. The interior design is beautiful and incredibly luxurious. We had everything we needed in terms of cooking equipment and utensils. The beds were super comfortable and the house was immaculately clean. I would return to The Gate House in a heartbeat. Thank you to everyone involved for making our stay so special.” - April '19
“This was our third visit to the Gate House which is an ideal venue for a reunion of friends, having 7 large bedrooms. The house is beautiful and even more comfortable this year with some new furniture, a very generous welcome table of food and flowers, luxurious bathrobes in each room and a new 'cinema suite'. We didn't use the hot tub because heavy rain and hail put us off and we didn't get round to watching the big screen very much but it was a great room for learning to salsa!
We had a bit of a problem with a sink blockage and were very impressed by the speed and minimum fuss with which this was resolved. Thank you Jonathan.” - April '19
“This was our second visit to the Gatehouse and once again we immediately felt at home. The house is very comfortable and stylish but also well equipped for large groups. We enjoyed using the hot tub and found the bath robes very useful for nipping outside.
Wimborne is a charming town with just the right mix of shops and the house is perfectly located to take advantage of this. There are also many pubs and restaurants a short stroll away.
Such a perfect home from home ……… we may be back once more!” - April '19

All the rooms are amazing.and a home from home. It's a great location but so peaceful and a great escape. Would highly recommend and can't wait to come back. Beds were comfortable and spacious. “The Gate House is absolutely fabulous - beautifully decorated, equipped with pretty much everything you could need and just a stone's throw from Wimborne. The bedrooms were lovely, the dining room was great, the living room with the wood-burning stove was super-cosy and the media room was fantastic - made for lounging about. We also loved the hot tub and the football table - such fun. All in all, it was a great place and we wouldn't hesitate to go back.” - February '19

The accommodation was lovely and spacious we all had plentiful room to slip off if we wanted to. We all loved the decor and attention to detail in every room. Our dogs Rico and Chico has great fun in the safe garden. The goodies left for us was a lovely touch and the chocolate brownies were the best we have ever had. All in all it was a very special week for us all. Thank you. Sue. & Jody” - December '18
“A really clean, comfortable house with plenty of space, a well equipped kitchen and helpful staff around to advise when needed. The games room is amazing for kids big and small and ours loved having movie evenings on the big screen (thanks for the free movies!). The garden is fantastic; lots of space and enclosed so kids can run around care free. We also loved the cafe and shop next door and had a lovely walk around the Deans Court grounds and garden. The village is Wimborne is picturesque and a great palace to explore as well as being a great access point to the Jurassic coast and lots of different attractions for families. We were a large party of adults and kids aged 5 - 9, we found our stay to be very enjoyable for everyone and we’d definitely come again." - November '18
“Completely met our (high) expectations. Our group ranged from 69 years to 19 months old and every single one of us really enjoyed our stay" - October '18
“We had a great week end stay. 11 adults and 1 child. Plenty of space, beautiful bedrooms, comfortable furnishings and so well equipped!!! A welcome pack that can only be described as delicious and generous. Log fire with plenty of logs and the addition of the hot tub, what can I say but inspired! We didn't use the Apple TV or play video games (maybe we're too old for that) but I'm sure others will find the upgrade a real bonus. This was our 3rd...or maybe 4th visit and we're back again next December for a Christmas break. There are so few places out there with enough bathrooms for so many people, but the Gate House delivers on that front too. Easy walking to town and a downstairs bedroom which resolved the issue of accesibily for me while I'm on crutches. Wonderful." - October '18
“A welcoming country retreat. Warm feel to the house both in terms of comfort and ambience. We were only a couple but the price was still reasonable for the generous facilities and expansive kitchenware. The kitchen was special as the Aga made it a cosy place to enjoy an evening meal after a day's hiking!! Lovely rooms, tastefully decorated and would be great for a family or group of friends - clean and well maintained. Very quiet at night even though it was within town. Great location for exploring East Dorset, the coast as well as the lovely walks through the Kingston Lacy estate and at Holt Heath." - October '18
"The Gate House was a fantastic place to spend my 60th birthday. The warmth from the aga greeted us as soon as we opened the front door.
The house has a warm and homely feel and was enjoyed by all our family ranging in age from 15 months up to 60 years!!
The house is ideally situated as there are many places to eat within walking distance .
The games room and hot tub are an added bonus and were enjoyed by all." - October '18

The games room is a great space and a lovely addition to the house. I am sure we’ll return in the future." - September '18
"A group of watercolour painters from Salisbury - just down the road - felt like we had entered a different world - so comfortable and calm, spacious and elegant. We found many things to excite the brushes and the pencils and, with all our basic daily needs sorted, we created in spades. We can't wait for another dose of Deans Court magic." - September '18

We'd seen the photos, of course, but the reality was even more comfortable and stylish than we'd imagined. The house very quickly became "home" and it was great to have a sitting room and dining room large enough to accommodate us all.
